Burrus Hall Print and Drawing on Brass
By Virginia Tech Alumnus Ron McCall '91
Ron McCall’s pen and ink stipple drawings use thousands of dots to create extraordinary, realistic images. This incredible sense of realism can only be achieved through a commitment to slow, precise work. His Burruss Hall piece below required 90 hours to complete, and the Virginia Tech Alumni Association is pleased to offer this work in two formats. Please see below for details.
About the artist: Subjects in Ron’s prior work include several iconic locations on the Virginia Tech campus (the Duck Pond Gazebo, Lane Hall, the War Memorial Chapel), as well as surrounding area highlights from the Blue Ridge Parkway (Mabry Mill), Mountain Lake, and the Biltmore House. A native of Giles County, Virginia, Ron holds a bachelor of science in art (1980) from Radford University and a master's degree in architecture (1991) from Virginia Tech. He currently resides in Christiansburg, Virginia, and works as a home designer/artist.
